How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create Spotify playlists on your behalf
• Search the Spotify catalogue for tracks matching extracted tracklists
• Extract and process tracklist information from YouTube content

Third-Party Services

Makelist uses the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

• Spotify API: We use Spotify's API to authenticate users and create playlists. Your use of Spotify features is subject to Spotify's Privacy Policy.
• YouTube API Services: We use YouTube API Services to access video content. Your use of YouTube features is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Important: Spotify is a third-party beneficiary of this Privacy Policy and is entitled to directly enforce it.

Data Storage and Retention

• Authentication tokens are stored only for the duration of your session and are not permanently retained.
• Tracklist data extracted from YouTube is processed in memory and is not stored after your session ends.
• We do not maintain long-term storage of your personal data.

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Revoke Spotify Access: You can disconnect Makelist from your Spotify account at any time through your Spotify Account Settings.
• Revoke Google/YouTube Access: You can revoke access through your Google Security Settings.
• Request Data Deletion: You can request deletion of any data we hold by contacting us at hello@makelist.app.

Upon revocation of access or deletion request, we will delete all associated data within 7 calendar days.

• We do not store sensitive credentials or access tokens permanently
